Douglas Jacobsen was a principal of the well known Western U.S. development company, Realty Bancorp Equities, LLC. In the mid 1970’s, Norman Kravetz formed Realty Bancorp to develop Office and Residential properties. RBE was formed to create a new retail focus. At RBE, Mr. Jacobsen was the Partner in charge of every facet of retail development: a.) finding the properties, b.) negotiating the purchase of the properties, c.) evaluating and handling the diligence of the properties, d.) site planning the properties, e.) entitling the properties, f.) locating anchor tenants & shop tenants for the properties, g.) handling all of the lease documentation for both anchor & shop tenants for the properties, g.) managing the construction/City relations for the properties, h.) assisting with financing the properties, and i) assisting with selling the properties. During his tenure at RBE, Mr. Jacobsen was the driving force behind the development of over $450,000,000 of retail, office and industrial properties.
